Preble Street Anti-Trafficking Services (ATS) is currently seeking a Caseworker to work as part of the Anti-Trafficking Services team. The primary responsibilities of the ATS Caseworker will include providing intensive case management services to survivors of human trafficking, conducting outreach and providing trainings, and collaborating with community partners in support of increasing awareness of and providing services to survivors. The Caseworker will provide advocacy and collaboration as needed with ATS partner agencies to provide a continuum of care for clients including attorneys and law enforcement.
The preferred education and experience qualifications for ATS Caseworker positions include a bachelor’s degree in social work, social welfare or a related field, as well as experience in casework management; however, candidates with any combination of education and experience likely to provide the skills, knowledge and abilities to be successful in the position will be considered. Frequent regional travel is required for this position, and candidates must have access to reliable transportation for regional travel on a daily basis in order to fulfill the duties of the position.
Experience working with trafficking survivors and/or survivors of physical or sexual abuse and/or immigrants or refugees or similar populations is preferred. Candidates for this position should be skilled in crisis intervention, with the ability to establish boundaries and set limits in challenging situations, and have a thorough understanding of traumatic reactions, mental illness, substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Additionally important are an understanding of issues related to immigration; worker’s rights; knowledge of relevant community resources; knowledge of issues related to homelessness; a positive regard for clients accessing services for homelessness and poverty; strong communication skills; and experience working within a team-centered environment.
The ATS Caseworker position is full-time, with a Monday – Friday schedule. The ability to work 40 hours a week is required.
This full-time position offers competitive pay at a rate of $15.70 per hour, which annualizes to $32,656.
