The National Constitution Center is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization devoted to teaching about the Constitution. Located on Philadelphia’s historic Independence Mall, steps from where the Constitution was drafted and signed, it serves as America’s leading platform for constitutional education and debate, fulfilling its congressional charter “to disseminate information about the U.S. Constitution on a nonpartisan basis in order to increase awareness and understanding of the Constitution among the American people.”

Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and tracking marketing plans for the organization and providing creative and administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team.

(Please note: this position is currently fully remote. As restrictions are lifted and guidance updated, the NCC intends for this position to be fully, or at the very least, mostly an on-site position as it requires a significant amount of coordination and logistics with on-site activities. The timeline for this position transferring back to on-site is unknown at the time of this posting.)

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist department in development of marketing campaigns and all efforts to increase awareness across all programs and initiatives, including museum visitation, special holidays, educational initiatives, public programs, and all content including the Center’s blog, podcast, video, educational materials, and website
  • Assist department in creation and distribution of a variety of e-newsletters and email campaigns, and assist with database management
  • Assist with implementing and evaluating digital and social media initiatives, including SEO and paid search campaigns
  • Stay up to date on SEO strategies and best practices and research and evaluate peer marketing and digital content
  • Develop print and digital marketing collateral with internal and external graphic designers, manage digital assets including copy and artwork, facilitate requests for other departments in keeping with established guidelines
  • Report on marketing efforts, using Google Analytics and other data sources to track, report, and analyze campaign results, as well as be able to communicate impact of programs and initiatives
  • Maintain inventory and fulfill requests of brochures, tickets, and other collateral from staff, visitors, and external partners
  • Assist with finding new ways to market the Center and its content and initiatives, as well as ways to target new audiences through various avenues
  • Work with media buying partners or directly on advertising plans, creative, and fulfilment of all deliverables
  • Work with all creative or production vendors on orders, reviews, timely delivery of materials, and payment
  • Update the website with approved language and graphics at regular intervals and on case-by-case basis.
  • Perform administrative duties for the department that include, but are not limited to, managing office budget, filing, organizing digital assets, updating event listings, answering phones, and managing marketing and website inboxes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Please note that the Center may change specific job duties with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization



  • Team-oriented, organized individual, well versed in internet technologies and marketing concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant marketing experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Experience in Google Analytics and Google Ads required
  • Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms required
  • Experience in CMS or with email marketing platforms required
  • Experience in Photoshop and InDesign a plus
  • Ability to work weekends, early morning and evening hours, or holidays as needed and assigned

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
  • Standing and walking may be required on an infrequent basis

Some light lifting, twenty (20) pounds or less, may be required on an infrequent basis
