Job Summary:
The Operations Data Coordinator assists in maintaining and managing the Central Park Conservancy’s GIS, EAM, and complimentary data systems, which contain park feature datasets and are used to record and plan maintenance tasks. Reporting to the Director of Operational Planning & Administration, the Operations Data Coordinator is part of a team dedicated to improving, standardizing, and aligning all park-based GIS and Operations data management functions to meet organizational goals and objectives. The role involves working with all database users including Operations, Communications, Development, and IT staff. Functions include: fielding and recording service requests, maintenance of database integrity and consistency, occasional field data collection and quality assurance; creation of queries, reports, and maps regarding maintenance data; assisting with implementation of new functionality and standard operating procedures to improve operations performance and efficiency; working with database users to enhance their knowledge of the database; orienting new users in proper procedures and rules, and expanding the use of GIS for Park maintenance tracking and planning.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in a related field; One year of experience in GIS analysis or database administration; or
2. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” above
3. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word and strong writing skills
4. Ability to oversee data collection, maintain data integrity
5. Fundamental understanding and knowledge of geospatial data management using leading industry software.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with ESRI ArcMap 10.5+ and related products or equivalent software
2. Experience with ArcGIS Portal or ArcGIS Online in an Editor or Administrator capacity.
3. Understanding of relational database and geodatabase structure and function; experience with database administration is desirable.
4. Experience with SQL, Python for report design and/or data management tasks.
