Development Manager needed for growing immigrant advocacy organization!

The Development Manager is a key player whose work with the community of donors and supporters underpins the crucial work we do.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Comprehensive Fundraising Strategy and Execution

·        Develop and execute overall fundraising strategy, including planning, logistics, marketing, and outreach. This will include continuation of successful programs and creation of new programs to engage supporters and donors.

·        Analyze and measure results of strategies

·        Create and oversee fundraising calendar and integrated strategy of contacts for the year, including letters, e-blasts, KIAC events, community fundraising vehicles, and KIAC communication vehicles, toward the goal of engaging supporters and donors

·        With ED and Board, expand individual giving strategy, including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of gifts; ongoing stewardship; and development of new audiences, toward the goal of donor growth and retention

·        Responsible for grant program, including proposal writing; research of new grants; tracking and filing timely reports. Works closely with Legal and Family Service program directors and ED, to match potential funding sources with programming

·        Prepare and oversee development budget and monitor fundraising expenses


Events:

·        Responsible for Annual auction/dinner event, including planning and organizing the event, overseeing volunteer committee, procurement, night-of responsibilities; follow-up

·        Responsible for KIAC’s successful participation in annual community events such as The Great Give, One Call for All, Giving Tuesday

·        Responsible for house parties and other existing fundraising events, such as Bremerton Community Theater event, including volunteer recruitment, planning, logistics, marketing, and follow-up

·        Responsible for creation and execution of new events to engage and expand community of supporters

Communications

·        Responsible for external communications which foster connections with constituents, including, among others, preparation of fundraising materials, annual letters, case statements, direct mail, Annual Report, social media, and newsletter

Administrative

·        Responsible for acknowledgement of donors and supporters, including receipts, thank-you letters, community acknowledgements and ongoing stewardship

·        Manage systems and software to track, cultivate, and steward donors 

·        Analysis of program performance including annual giving programs, donor acquisition, retention and upgrade effectiveness; success of events and community fundraising vehicles

·        Prospect research

·        Monthly fundraising reports to the board and reports to ED as requested
