Senior Director of Operations

The Senior Director of Operations will be responsible to manage and focus on providing greater capacity through resource management and strategic operational expertise in the day-to-day operations of the Saint Ignatius Parish.  Working collaboratively with the Pastor, parish council, finance committee and parish leaders, the Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing proven best practices in all operational aspects.

A successful leader will seamlessly balance these responsibilities as well as adeptly move when necessary from strategic thinking to practical application, while "rolling up the sleeves" to get things done. The Director will collaborate with the Parish team and lay leadership to create strategic priorities focused on the ministries and operating priorities while cultivating the culture and values unique to Saint Ignatius.

To be successful in this role, these levels of experience and skills are required:       

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public or Non-profit Administration or equivalent, relevant work experience. Master’s degree, particularly in theology, a plus.         
• 15+ years’ operational leadership experience in a 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), non-profit or service driven organization (i.e., hospital, hotels)         
• Bi or Tri-Lingual language fluency

This position is located in San Francisco, California. Currently, due to Covid 19 restrictions, the parish offices are closed and the job is carried out remotely.  Ultimately the work will need to be performed from the parish offices.
