Position:  Donor Relations Specialist (part-time)

Reports to:  Vice President of Development and Strategic Projects

Position Summary:

The part-time Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for database entry, upkeep and maintenance, gift acknowledgements, and coordination of mailings (including mail merges), as well as providing logistical support for development events, and overall administrative support for the Development Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gift Processing – Record, acknowledge, post, file, and report all contributions, pledges, as well as pledge reminders.
  • Database Management – Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on all donors, campaigns, funds, etc., in Raiser’s Edge. Generate income as well as other reports for development and finance departments.
  • Solicitation Mailing Coordination – Pull mailing lists and coordinate mail merges for all solicitations, both paper and electronic, throughout the fiscal year.
  • Administrative Support – Maintain development calendar and electronic/paper files; provide administrative support to the Vice President of Development as needed.
  • Event Support – Provide support for events including processing RSVPs and staffing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, or other fundraising database software preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, responsible and reliable.
  • 1-2 years experience in Development work, or related field preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • An ability to focus and know when and how to ask for help.

Salary range: Commensurate with experience
