StartOut is the leading national non-profit focused on supporting LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. As StartOut Community Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with our chapters, which includes building relationships with local programming boards, sponsors, community partners, and to some degree with our local members. This is a position that requires a blend of positivity, professionalism, stellar communication, and amazing ability to manage details.
As part of a small but highly effective team to advance the economic empowerment of the LGBTQ+ community, you will be in charge of working hand in hand with existing volunteers and partners to build local communities in our chapter cities. You will also be responsible for supporting our 80+ volunteers in organizing 80+ events per year in the following cities: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC.
In addition, you will be leading our expansion efforts, building new local chapters in 4 new cities: Detroit, Research Triangle, Oklahoma City, and Nashville.
