Position Summary: The Campus Project Manager is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and evaluation of Campus Advocacy Services. Primarily responsible for oversight of all project activities and initiating any administrative actions that are required. Assumes responsibility for coordinating training and outreach activities pertaining to sexual assault, intimate partner violence, dating violence, and stalking, to include the creation and eventual implementation of a bystander intervention training program. Provides oversight of all project activities, including convening of the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Team on a regular basis, ensuring program goals are being met, and acting as the liaison between the CCR Team, the San Diego Community College District, local law enforcement and local services providers, as needed. Also provides training, ongoing support, and supervision for staff and volunteers associated with campus advocacy services, including the Campus Advocacy Coordinator.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Program Implementation and Administration
· Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for the campus program which reflect the mission, values, and needs of the project and organization.
· Ensure excellence in campus-based services, including emergency hospital accompaniment and follow-up advocacy services for victims of sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
· Provide direct service to survivors as fill-in coverage needs require. Direct service includes crisis intervention, peer individual/group counseling, advocacy, accompaniment (forensic exams, detective interviews, and court), referrals, and follow-up services to survivors. Services to survivors include empowering, client-centered problem solving; education on choices and rights; and linkages to a wide range of services and resources.
· Conduct outreach to recruit staff and volunteers for crisis intervention, advocacy, and prevention associated with campus advocacy services based on current program needs.
· Conduct ongoing evaluation of the project, programs and services delivered by the staff and volunteers, and implement improvements as necessary.
· Coordinate and facilitate orientations to present opportunities and project/program requirements associated with campus advocacy services.
· Coordinate volunteer projects associated with campus advocacy services according to project and program needs.
· Provide ongoing administrative and supervisory support to staff and volunteers, including hiring, initial and ongoing training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
· Develop and administer forms and data tracking to document project activities, trainings, and evaluation of services provided.
· Track all required program data and services for grant reporting and project requirements.
· Thoroughly complete required documentation, including monthly reports, grant reports, and administrative paperwork and submit in a timely manner.
· Coordinate staff submission of timekeeping records to meet agency deadlines.
2. Coordination and Facilitation of Trainings
· Maintain accurate working knowledge of training standards established by California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence service providers.
· Assist in the facilitation of staff and volunteer completion of CCS’ Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Training program as associated with campus advocacy services.
· Inform the development of a training agenda that complies with CCS best practices and CalOES standards for Crisis Counselors in partnership with the Training Specialist and program managers.
· In collaboration with Training Specialist and program managers, develop and facilitate trainings and outreach based on program and community needs as associated with campus advocacy services.
· Co-facilitate training sessions and outreach as associated with campus advocacy services.
· Work with program leadership to assess training and outreach needs of the community and staff.
3. Community Education and Outreach
· Deliver community outreach and educational presentations, workshops, and trainings in the community throughout regions of San Diego County, according to CCS standards, in compliance with funder requirements, and to fulfill community needs as associated with campus advocacy services.
· Attend ongoing trainings and maintain up-to-date knowledge on topics covered in the Crisis Intervention Training as associated with campus advocacy services.
· Responsible for maintaining positive community relations, including fostering and maintaining excellent relationships/partnerships with universities, civic groups, government entities, businesses, media, funding sources, and community partners.
· Work in collaboration with other CCS departments to coordinate outreach services as needed.
· Represent the Agency in community meetings and events.
· Carry out other duties as necessary to ensure program and organizational success.
4. Upholding Program Standards
· Promote the safety and well-being of clients by modeling and encouraging healthy communication, safety-focused decision-making, and acceptance of diversity.
· Work to eliminate barriers to service, particularly for survivors from historically oppressed communities. Document work efforts to develop more effective ways to reach and serve minority/underserved populations.
· Meet agency standards in regards to professionalism, safety, and service delivery when interacting with clients, community members, agency staff, and the general public.
· Ensure ongoing familiarization with all CCS programs and services, including eligibility requirements, in order to answer basic questions and refer clients accurately.
· Work as a team with all other CCS departments to provide comprehensive client services when needed. Participate in cross-training and team collaboration efforts as necessary.
· Maintain client confidentiality by protecting client information and ensuring that appropriate paperwork is understood and completed by clients (e.g. consent for services forms and release of information forms when collaborating with other programs/entities). Adhere to agency policies and protocols related to the security of electronic client service records.
· Follow agency protocol for maintaining timekeeping records in required formats. Submit timesheets and personnel and departmental paperwork (e.g., check requisitions) according to agency standards and due dates.
· Accurately and thoroughly document all trainings (attended and facilitated, outreach and education, community collaboration meetings, and contact with clients in a timely manner through Efforts to Outcomes (ETO), the agency database for client services.

Essential Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, counseling, criminal justice, public health, or related field, or equivalent in experience.
· A minimum of two years coordinating or managing programs and providing supervisory support to staff or volunteers in a campus-based or nonprofit setting.
· A minimum of two years working with survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or stalking, providing crisis intervention, advocacy, or campus-based services.
· A minimum of one year of experience conducting outreach and providing education on complex issues to the general public.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, SPECIALIZED TRAINING
· Current knowledge of and expertise in using best practice methods for crisis intervention, advocacy, and outreach, especially with individuals impacted by sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and/or stalking.
· Ability to build strong rapport, give constructive feedback, and maintain a constructive learning environment with diverse volunteers and staff.
· Strong in the areas of oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, community relations, and demonstrated leadership.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and ability to plan and accomplish complex projects.
· Must demonstrate an acceptance and respect for cultural diversity in all its forms, including ethnicity, sexual orientation, abilities, and religious backgrounds.
· Computer competency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as internet research. Comfort in computer network environment.
· Competence with online databases, spreadsheets, and other tools to document and track program/project efforts.
· Completion of California OES-approved Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training required (or must be completed upon hiring).
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written) strongly preferred.
· Experience working with professionals from a wide variety of professions, such as law enforcement, public health, child welfare, District Attorneys, social workers, emergency responders, and victim advocates strongly desired.
· Experience documenting services in a data management system.
· Commitment to CCS’ mission, vision, and values and holistic approach to providing services, as well as to community-based solutions for addressing root causes of violence and survivor needs.
· Detail-oriented with ability to effectively multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
· Ability to take initiative and work independently.
· FBI-level Live Scan criminal background check.
· Must maintain personal cell phone for work-related purposes.
· Access to a reliable vehicle, valid California driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
· Ability to work in intimate partner violence, sexual assault and stalking fields, which at times inherently create safety concerns.
· Frequent repetitive hand use and simple grasping, e.g., desk and computer functions.
· Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below the shoulder.
· Requires a flexible schedule, adjusting for some evening and weekend hours to accommodate community needs.
· Work is generally performed in a typical interior office work environment.
· Must be able to drive personal vehicle to travel to several program sites around San Diego County.
