Who you are:

The Senior Helpdesk Analyst will provide day-to-day technical support (level 1 & 2) via the Help Desk to employees working in Institute offices, as well as remotely. The candidate will also work on projects to improve the efficiency of the IT Department. Network troubleshooting experience a plus. Must be able to work independently and diligently troubleshoot problems as well as create SOP documentation. 

In this role, you will:

Helpdesk Support

  • Respond to Help Desk requests in a timely and efficient manner. Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user training when required

Remote Support

  • Remote tech support / troubleshooting of laptops / desktops using remote software

Administration

  • Administering Microsoft Active Directory, Azure and Office 365

Mobile Support

  • Handle day to day support of the company’s Smartphone & mobile device portfolio

A/V Support

  • Provide tech support for in-house events which require Audio/Video services and web conferencing and troubleshoot issues related to A/V systems before escalating to our AV support services

Hardware inventory

  • Create and maintain hardware inventory

What qualifications do you need?

Required:

  • 3-4 years’ experience with help desk/desktop support and network administration required
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows operating systems, Microsoft & Adobe applications, networking software & hardware, cabling & protocols (DHCP, DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, VOIP, etc.).
  • Some experience in web conferencing, wireless networks, Microsoft SQL Server, email and Smartphone administration.
  • Qualified candidates must be reliable, responsible, able to multi-task, and have strong organizational, writing, communication, customer service and people skill

Preferred:

  • Bachelors or Associate degree in information technology, computer science or a related field preferred
  • Any network or helpdesk certification a plus

  • Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, Adobe Suite, Remote Desktop applications such as splashtop, Zoom, Teams, Smartsheet, soft phone applications such as 8x8, Slack
