Since 1962, The Dramatists Guild Foundation’s (DGF) core programs have helped the American theater thrive by providing playwrights, composers, lyricists, and bookwriters with the resources and support they need to bring their vital messages to life. DGF offers emergency funding, nationwide educational opportunities, free rehearsal space, and a number of other pathways for writers to create their best work. A lifelong commitment to an artist’s growth is unique to DGF: we support both new creators and those who have already emerged.
