Who we are

At CDP, we are on a mission to solve our planet’s biggest environmental challenges: climate change, water scarcity and deforestation. We believe you can’t manage what you don’t measure – so we run the world’s largest environmental disclosure system. For the past two decades, our team has worked tirelessly to create a thriving economy that works for people and planet in the long term – we accomplish this by engaging the global actors who wield the greatest influence in driving environmental change: companies, cities, governments and the capital markets.

CDP’s cascading global impact is powered by our tight-knit team of smart, savvy, curious and committed individuals, who share a common passion for creating a sustainable future. It is our people who make our work possible. And we provide our people with a working environment that empowers each individual to reach their full potential: one that is committed to equity; one that provides equal access for growth and development; and one that supports each individual throughout the full employee life cycle.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our North American Reporter Services team to work with companies on their environmental reporting through tailored one-on-one support, data analytics, and thought leadership. Your mission: help us further our mission by helping companies improve their corporate sustainability initiatives and reporting.

Who you are

o  You have a keen interest in environmental corporate reporting and disclosure

o  You have advanced knowledge of sustainability issues, specifically related to climate change, water security, and/or commodity-linked deforestation

o  You have excellent engagement and communication skills, strong ability to pitch services, and advanced planning skills

o  You can come up to speed quickly and independently with technical information (such as CDP's guidance and scoring methodology) and apply this information to company responses

o  You have strong attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills

o  You understand company needs, identify opportunities, and act on this information

o  You can meet deadlines under pressure

Your day-to-day

o  You will manage Reporter Services deliverables for member accounts (25+ companies), including annual goal setting and tracking delivery of member benefits

o  You will secure new Reporter Services memberships, as well as renewals with existing members

o  You will deepen relationships with members, including generating and furthering relevant opportunities for CDP initiatives managed by other teams

o  You will coordinate relevant communications to members

o  You will contribute to annual planning and service/product development

o  You will represent CDP through networking and speaking engagements at sustainability and sector-related conferences

o  You will manage projects across global Reporter Services program areas, such as product development, marketing and sales, and/or events

Bonus points

o  You have at least two years of related work experience

o  You have a university degree in a related subject

o  You can accurately communicate technical information in a concise, yet comprehensive manner

o  You have familiarity with MS Office, CRM, and analytics platforms, with ability to master new systems

o  You have the drive to take ownership and responsibility for particular areas of work

o  You have the desire and ability to improve and streamline processes to better and more efficiently achieve program goals, rather than follow the status quo
