Safe Alliance STRC Clinical Director

The STRC Clinical Director supports the agency by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault by providing direct supervision and oversite to the Sexual Trauma Resource Center.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Client Care

Using trauma-informed, client-centered approach:

  • Ensure the long-term health of the Sexual Trauma Resource Center (STRC) through strategic planning, outcome planning, quarterly reporting, program planning, and the creation/maintenance of service area policies and procedures.
  • Assist the STRC Advocate Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising qualified staff to ensure the effective delivery of services through crisis intervention, safety planning, and assessing victim needs, ensuring a holistic approach.
  • Recruit, train and supervise qualified clinical staff and clinical interns, ensuring coordinated service delivery that advances the agency mission
  • Develop, implement, and supervise programming specific to the changing needs of clients experiencing child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
  • Ensure the availability of, develop procedures for and manage the delivery of robust sexual assault services, working in conjunction with key community partners and other agency staff.
  • Through supervision, continuously act with client in mind and work to meet client needs and expectations to the extent possible.
  • Develop and sustain a quality clinical internship program. Along with program staff develop and manage relationships with area colleges and universities. Identify qualified clinical and advocacy interns and ensure intern training and supervision.
  • Ensure the delivery of effective, quality, and where appropriate evidence based services.
  • Manage client complaints/grievances; using information to adapt and improve the program as needed.

Administration

  • Work to ensure the goals and outcomes for the program are met. Record and report program statistics accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Provide primary supervision of assigned staff.
  • Work in partnership with other agency programs to implement and maintain a training and development program that enhances the knowledge, skills, and abilities of staff to increase parents and guardian's ability to support their child's development through the use of the CARE Model.
  • Ensure staff are using best practices, and ensure the effective implementation of evidenced informed models at the agency.
  • Maintain accurate, up to date client, program and agency records
  • In partnership with the Grant Writer, oversee the grant management process and reporting for the STRC. Assist with the researching, writing, and management of grant reporting and grantor relationships, and write grants as requested.
  • Assist in budget planning, implementation, and management for service areas.
  • Ensure that employee time is entered into timekeeper system accurately; approve timesheets according to established deadlines.
  • Adhere to Agency procedures concerning Documentation, Critical Incident Reports and Client Satisfaction Surveys and participate in the Quality Assurance Process.

Stewardship

  • Ensure long-term agency success and growth by organizing, supporting, facilitating and contributing to the strategic plan.
  • Increase community awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through community outreach initiatives, public speaking and media requests as assigned by supervisor.
  • Support agency mission by participating personally in and ensuring program staff involvement in agency and community meetings and committees as requested by supervisor.
  • Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, interns, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Identify program trends, development opportunities and implement new program services, in partnership with supervisor.
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation and volunteer training as needed

Professional Development

  • Contribute to quality services by staying informed of developments and trends in the area of trauma and victimization, especially as it relates to therapy, sexual violence, child maltreatment and intimate partner violence.
  • Maintain and develop skills and knowledge by attending training especially as it relates to therapy, victimization and trauma; ensure licensure and certifications are up to date as needed for the job and the office, and as required by accrediting bodies. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Master's in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy or similar field
  • Experience: 5 years' experience working with trauma and victims
  • Certifications: Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • Experience working with children and adults
  • Experience with evidenced base practices (TFCBT, CPT, etc.)
  • Supervision Experience
  • Spanish speaking preferred- If hired as a Spanish speaking Clinician, candidate must be fluent in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish
