    Description

    The German Society of Pennsylvania has an opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant to work 40 hours per week. Normal hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. The Administrative Assistant will also be required to work occasional evening and weekend days for scheduled events (about 7-10 days per year).

    Duties include answering phones, filing, typing, data entry, and various event support tasks. Experience with Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and Publisher), Google Suite, and common social media platforms is required, as well as excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

    Knowledge of and/or experience with the following items is preferred:

    • German language and culture
    • Membership database programs or CRM systems
    • WordPress

    The ideal candidate will have experience (or interest) in working in a multi-cultural environment. They will be an energetic and self-motivated individual, able to balance office responsibilities with event planning, along with effective interaction with members, volunteers, clients, and Board members.

    The Administrative Assistant works closely with and reports to the Executive Director.

    Compensation is commensurate with skills.
