Job Description:

The Executive Assistant must provide strategic, administrative and logistical support to the CEO of Basmah. There is the opportunity to be promoted to Executive Director after 6 months of proven productivity.


This includes:

  • Maintaining Documents, Contracts, and other official paperwork in a dependable manner for soft and hard copies (computer and office files).
  • Bookkeeping and data entry.
  • Appropriate and Professional demeanor in all interactions while representing Basmah and while working with staff.
  • Creating high-level communications with donors, stakeholders, and potential donors.
  • Work within a daily system to keep goals and projects on track with deadlines.
  • Be highly organized in an environment where overwhelming information and financial data requires structure.
  • Experience working with Contact Management Software (CRM) and other database systems.
  • Phone and Email contact with clients to provide information and new updates.
  • Arrange external events for fundraising and networking.
  • Social Media Management and Mailchimp Newsletter Campaigns.
  • Light photoshopping might be required.
  • Event management (which will be paid in addition to salary)
  • Creative Problem Solving skills are necessary for this role.
  • Any additional requirements, we will renegotiate salary or bonuses.



Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Nonprofit Background Only, internship experience welcome.
  • Must be trustworthy, with experience in Finance or as a Treasurer for Bookkeeping.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • An associates or Bachelor’s degree is required (masters or doctorate graduates are welcome).
  • Must have Business Writing skills and little to no Grammatical Errors.
  • Must be able to communicate in English fluently.
  • The ability to create Professional Reports, organization charts, diagrams and graphs.
  • Must have Strong Morale Code and Ethical Standards
  • Cultural Sensitivity is required as you must respect this cultural environment, and be considerate and not offensive towards others.


This is a Full Time position of 40 hours a week, an evening ship which must be 12 pm to 8 pm or 2 pm to 10 pm. Sometimes office hours will be on weekends depending on need, but will open up other days during the week (i.e. if you work Saturday, you don’t work Monday). Pay starts at $36,000. Salary is negotiable based on experience!
