The Opportunity

This Fleet Training and Technical Lead will be hired to be the main direct liaison with fleets in order to communicate the technical elements of electric vehicle (EV) fleet transition. This will include providing the analytic and telematics tools, infrastructure planning, potential budget options, overall guidance and EVs as a fleet solution. The individual will also provide and source content for webinars, for on-the-ground trainings, identify existing conferences where Climate Mayor and other partner cities should be attend or present (Government Fleet Expo, ACT Expo, etc.), and develop technical content which would include case studies, infrastructure planning tools, and provide new or existing EV fleet management tools to ensure high utilization and program success. This position will report to the Electrification Coalition Fleets Program Manager.

The ideal candidate would be based out of Washington D.C, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, San Diego, or Los Angeles, but other locations will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

o  Provide analytic support to fleets using telematics tools and other data sets.

o  Assist fleets in infrastructure planning, budget options and overall guidance for electrification of fleets.

o  Develop content for webinars and other training for fleets.

o  Identify and attend conferences for Climate Mayors and other partner cities to share information about the project.

o  Ensure fleet vehicles are highly utilized for maximum program success.

Professional Skills and Qualifications

o  Bachelor’s degree and/or two years of experience in the field.

o  Experience working directly with fleets.

o  Knowledge of electric vehicles and fleet transition programs.

o  Familiarity with analytics, particularly related to fleets and vehicle utilization.

o  Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

o  A professional and resourceful style.

o  Ability to work independently and as a team player.

o  Strong attention to detail.

o  An adaptable and flexible style.



•Group coverage with CareFirst PPO medical, dental, and vision coverage.

•Coverage begins on the first of the month following hire date.

•SAFE pays 100% of premiums.


•Group coverage with UNUM.•Coverage begins 30 days from date of hire.

•Monthly Benefit: 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum benefit of $12,000 per month,after the 90 day elimination period is completed.

•SAFE pays 100% of the premiums. Plan is set up so any benefit received is tax-free.


•401K through ADP.

•Employees can choose investment options beginning with Asset Allocation or Target Datefunds.

•Employees can contribute up to $18,500 in 2018.

•SAFE matches employee contributions up to 3% of your salary.
