Job Posting: Site Administrator
As the academic medical center and University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center (“MMC”) is nationally recognized for clinical excellence.
As part of MMC, The Montefiore School Health Program (MSHP) currently provides comprehensive medical and mental health services at 25 school-based health centers in the Bronx, with a growing number of sites also providing dental and community health services.
MSHP is currently in a rapid growth mode as it seeks to serve additional NYC Public schools (K-12) and their student populations in the Bronx. To meet this need, MSHP is seeking experienced Site Administrators to provide Site leadership that will ensure the seamless delivery of integrated, quality care to this growing number of Bronx-based children and adolescents in need.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be adept at managing relationships at many levels (School administration, health practitioners and other MSHP staff). He/she will have demonstrated experienced in the development and implementation of operating plans, including standardizing, replicable processes, as well as the testing of innovative initiatives, all with an eye to ensuring high levels of key stakeholder satisfaction: patients/students, MSHB staff, school administrators and other community participants . He/she will be accountable for the overall successful administration of his/her school-based health clinic(s), as reflected in accessibility, quality care and operational excellence.
·Designing and implementing site/school specific processes and procedures that create friendly, efficient access for all students to the health center.
·Proactively establishing, fostering and ensuring strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with school administrations in order to provide high quality, integrated, and respectful care to all students within a school.
·Fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment to ensure a high performing team working to achieve practice-wide operational and financial goals/metrics.
·Managing multilateral communications between the school administration, clinical team, and senior management.
·Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associates, providers, policy-making bodies, labor relations, patients, and community members.
·Evaluating site needs and presenting cases for redeployment of resources or additional resources.
·Leading continuous improvement initiatives that develop, enhance and implement procedures, processes, and services that support organizational growth and excellence.
·Ensuring compliance with appropriate Human Resources and Labor policies, regulatory policies, and accreditation standards.
·Assuring the efficiency and stability of the health center’s operations in all areas, inclusive of quality of service, access, and value.
·Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s degree preferred.
·Three (3) years of supervisory experience in an ambulatory or heath care setting.
·Strong working knowledge of electronic medical records systems, preferably Epic, practice managements systems, clinical and scheduling applications.
·Cultural competency in understanding the needs of the communities we serve.
·The ability to speak Spanish and/or other languages prevalent in the Bronx will be well-received.
·Extensive knowledge of operational analysis
·Demonstrated abilities in: Critical thinking, data analytics, employee engagement, conflict resolution, marketing management and team building
·Knowledge of clinical office procedures and medical practices
·Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills
·Knowledge of project management methodology and best practices, preferred
·Experience working in both a unionized and non-unionized environment, preferred
