Position Overview
The Schott Foundation is a BIPOC-led national public fund and philanthropic intermediary with more than 30 years of experience in philanthropy, innovative grantmaking strategies, narrative promotion campaigns, and philanthropic organizing working with racial justice organizations. The Senior Vice President of Partnership Engagement leads Schott’s overall advancement, development, and communications efforts and is responsible for establishing and maintaining philanthropic partnerships, including multi-year major gifts and cultivation of high net-worth individuals. The SVP of Partnership Engagement is responsible for establishing and building out the Development and Communications teams to support the institution and is responsible for planning, managing, and executing a comprehensive and diversified advancement effort that deepens organizational sustainability and allows for strategic, mission-aligned growth. The position is responsible for developing and executing on comprehensive plans of work that dovetail fundraising and programming responsibilities to maximize impact on both workstreams.
The SVP of Partnership Engagement is a member of Schott’s Leadership Team and works closely with the Leadership Team to optimize their calendars to further cultivation and solicitation strategies.

Qualifications
Travel
The Schott Team currently operates virtually with staff located throughout the United States. This position requires regular travel to participate in various organizational meetings, attend conferences, and otherwise participate in job-related events. The employee is also expected to travel to staff retreats and board meetings up to six times a year.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision as the employee will have close visual contact with a computer monitor daily.

Schott Foundation offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, FSA/HRA benefits, vacation and paid holidays, retirement plan with employer contributions after 18-months employment, and other benefits. The starting salary is expected to be $165,000-$185,000 annually depending on experience.
