Position Responsibilities:


  • Drive operational excellence related to workforce planning and management



  • Effectively address short-term resource allocation


  • Manage day to day resourcing, assigning staff to open needs in current and new pieces of work
  • Maintain a system of tracking current and upcoming project resource needs
  • Evaluate resourcing supply and demand on an ongoing basis, and over time, to accurately predict future needs
  • Escalate unfilled needs and new hire recommendations to leadership, as necessary


  • Manage long term resource planning and prediction


  • Lead and facilitate workforce planning, including resource and training gap analyses, risk analysis, and future resource planning
  • Partner with staff to create effective, efficient, flexible, and sustainable resourcing models
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the business, effective staffing models, and potential future needs


  • Serve as a collaborative leader in the organization


  • Create and maintain effective relationships with leaders and project staff
  • Build strong rapport and cross-functional relationships with regional and content portfolio staff
  • Advise staff, team leaders and supervisors on resource and workforce planning and estimating project time commitments
  • Interface with business development to understand pipeline opportunities and related resourcing needs
  • Partner with talent acquisition team to ensure alignment of resourcing needs with required competencies
  • Partner with the Finance team to balance the overall financial needs of the organization and the resourcing demands of the work


  • Manage a central resourcing data system used to create workforce plans and predict resourcing needs over time


  • Lead the sourcing process and implementation of a resource planning system
  • Oversee and maintain data within the system
  • Identify instances of over/under utilization and working with supervisors and department leads to resolve the issues
  • Develop and analyze metrics, and create reporting that will be used to support and report out on the current and future resourcing picture, including resource predictions and potential issues
  • Recommend necessary training and workforce development to ensure that skill gaps are addressed


  • Serve the organization as a subject matter expert on resourcing and workforce planning

  • Workforce planning and forecasting: experience creating and managing the workforce planning and forecasting systems and processes.
  • Human capital management:   ability to respond to the organization's human capital needs, including an understanding of the variety of roles required to deliver our products and services to our clients, including but not limited, to project coordination, management and director roles
  • Goal setting and management: ability and proven competency to drive and achieve quality results within complex, time constrained goals and business opportunities

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required; SHRM SCP preferred
  • Seven to ten years of previous work experience related to workforce planning in a professional environment - preferred
  • Demonstrated experience resourcing staff on multiple projects and a variety of teams - required
  • Experience and knowledge of business systems and processes with an emphasis on human resource and financial systems - required
  • Experience utilizing staffing, talent management and financial data to create predictive analytics -required
  • Experience working as a team member and at times a team lead, proven ability to collaborate is key to the success of this role preferred
  • Project management expertise - preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - required
  • Experience with resourcing software, including resourcing modules of a larger ERP system preferred
