Position Summary: The Manager of Volunteer Services sits on the Corporate Giving team and manages the recruitment, screening, coordination, and cultivation of corporate volunteer groups and events. In addition, the Manager is responsible for overseeing the in-kind donation program. At this time, this is a full-time position that will operate primarily remotely. In-office presence is dependent on team responsibilities, and is subject to change as needed.

Responsibilities: 

·       Raise funds for Children’s Aid based on fundraising targets by soliciting Corporate Volunteer Impact Grants from a range of corporate partners via phone and in person

·       Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and develop and work with the Director of Corporate Giving to develop strategies for communication and stewardship

·       Manage and expand corporate volunteer programs from initial assessment of opportunities to post-event engagement

·       Maintain responsibility for corporate volunteer engagement, including properly screening potential candidates, ensuring accurate documentation in relevant databases, and coordinating with the Corporate Giving Team to support fund development

·       Manage all billing and invoicing for volunteer services and corporate partnerships

·       Collaborate with Children’s Aid program sites to identify needs, both capital and programmatic, and develop corresponding volunteer projects

·       Proactively communicate and collaborate with supervisors on all potential and implementable opportunities, inclusive of fundraising objectives and requests

·       Support direct supervisor on the Corporate Giving team in the execution of special programs and events

·       Attend corporate volunteer events, including events held during evening and weekend hours

·       Liaise with program directors and staff to organize corporate volunteer events and outreach to thank post-visit and, as appropriate, obtain photographs and updates following corporate projects that can be shared via social media and/or with corporate partners

·       Collaborate with the Children’s Aid Marketing and Communications team to develop social media posts to highlight corporate volunteer events

·       Research and recommend potential corporations to be cultivated for further volunteer or donor partnerships, including those having provided in-kind donations

·       Manage all in-kind donations for the agency, including logistics for distribution, entry into Raiser’s Edge, and follow-up with donor

·       Track all corporate donor communication, meetings, and events in Raiser’s Edge

·       Maintain responsibility for business functions including ordering materials for volunteer events

·       Create and manage a young professionals group that will create both a revenue stream and open the door to new corporate partnerships


Qualifications: 

Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree required.

·       Minimum three to five years’ experience in related positions.

·       Experience in organizing and executing successful events.


Skills and Competencies:

·       Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or other database management systems

·       Excellent writing and oral presentation skills

·       Highly professional, confident, and poised

·       Excellent attention to detail and highly organized

·       Ability to multi-task and meet concurrent needs and deadlines

·       Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner and communicate effectively with diverse constituents

·       Desire to be accountable to individual and team goals, inclusive of donor, dollar, and event goals

·       Ability to work a flexible schedule based on corporate partners, including nights and weekends

·       Sense of humor and positivity

·       Highest level of personal and ethical standard with the ability to represent the organization professionally and responsibly

·       Commitment to, and passion for, the mission of Children’s Aid
