Position Title:                       Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Reports to:                            Executive Director

Position classification:        Full time, non exempt

Work location:                        Onsite at QCA/remote

Salary:                                     $ 45,000/annum


Essential Functions

●   Oversee all external-facing content and communications

●   Maintain deep knowledge of QCA programs, observing events and actively working to engage and serve the organization’s constituents

●   Market QCA programs, opportunities and initiatives for creatives (such as open calls for artists), working closely with program managers to creatively tailor content across marketing channels

●   Visualize programmatic outcomes and successes by creating compelling content for marketing and development purposes

●   Build professional and respectful relationships with Queens and NYC based arts organizations, cross-sharing, networking and disseminating opportunities

●   Oversee blog/social media/eblast calendar

●   Maintain active and engaged presence on social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), working to expand digital audiences

●   Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments

●   Manage QCA’s database using the via CRM platform Infusionsoft/Keap, updating contact records; managing campaigns; and creating event sign-ins and RSVP links

●   Monitor & review website and CRM using Google analytic tools

●   Project manage any print marketing materials, including brochures, program cards, annual report, booklets, banners, signage, etc.

●   Oversee the rollout and ongoing maintenance of QCA’s new (forthcoming) website and brand identity

●   Create e-blasts for upcoming QCA events/Open calls

●   Produce and publish monthly newsletter (Artspy)

●   Update Media/Press list and encourage press coverage of QCA initiatives


Qualifications

●   2-3 years of experience in nonprofit work (or comparable academic training)

●   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

●   Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

●   Demonstrates initiative, creative problem solving skills and ability to meet deadlines

●   Thrives in culturally diverse settings

●   Deep investment in QCA programs and mission

●   Strong ability to collaborate well with QCA staff and partners, liaising with colleagues to document and facilitate program content

●   Displays a high level of support for colleagues; works well in a collaborative environment

●   Proficiency with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter

●   Ability to create graphic & visual content using QCA style guide; skilled at creating visuals

●   Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator), Submittable, and Wordpress

●   Proficiency in creating accessible content and materials, knowledge of online accessibility tools (alt text, screen readers, add-on platforms, image descriptions, etc)
