QSAC is looking for Behavior Intervention Specialists to support our Direct Support Professionals in the Day Habilitation Programs. There are positions available in Floral Park and Jamaica, Queens.

Responsibilities for a BIS include:

• Maintain coordination of active treatment services for people being supported in QSAC Day Habilitation programs in accordance with OPWDD regulations 

• Write/Design all individual goals and observe goal implementation by Direct Support Professionals

• Monitor/Assess monthly goal progress and update short-term objectives

• Provide training and mentoring to Direct Support Professionals on skills and techniques to support people with autism

• Maintain clinical paperwork as regulated by New York State

• Provide written goal summary for and participate in interdisciplinary meetings

• Participate and work as part of interdisciplinary team


• Master's degree and experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities/autism required 

• Experience and training in ABA supports for people with autism

• Attention to detail and calm demeanor 

• Strong communication skills 

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
