Description

Preble Street has a full-time 2nd shift Caseworker position available at Florence House. Florence House provides services to clients in its Housing First studio apartments, safe havens and emergency shelter 24/7, 365 days a year, and is designed to support clients in addressing their homelessness through finding and addressing their barriers to housing. This position will work as a member of the Residential Services team, and will work primarily at Florence House; however, the Caseworker may also occasionally work within the other Residential Services Programs.


  • The schedule for this position is a 2nd Shift position; Tuesday through Saturday, 3pm-Midnight with an hour unpaid break.
  • This position reports directly to a Florence House Supervisor.
  • The primary role of this position is to build relationships with clients, provide program coverage, maintain client safety, monitor the security of the building, provide crisis intervention and support, and assist clients in overcoming barriers to stable housing.
  • In addition, the caseworkers are responsible for supporting program documentation needs, participating in programming, and coordinating services and support across all Florence House shifts. 


Requirements

Eligibility to bill for Comprehensive Targeted Case Management (TCM) is strongly preferred. Preferred qualifications include a master’s or bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, a comparable combination of bachelor’s degree and experience in human services or case management, or previous experience billing for TCM, as well as MHRT-1 certification. Candidates without an MHRT-1 will be considered but will be required to complete their MHRT-1 Provisional before starting the position and must obtain full MHRT-1 certification within one year of hire.


Candidates for this position must have a positive regard for individuals accessing services for homelessness and poverty; strong communication skills; familiarity with community services; an understanding of low-barrier service challenges; the ability to establish boundaries and set limits with a diverse population; and the ability to work as part of a team. 



Benefits

This position offers competitive pay at a rate of $15.70 per hour, which annualizes to $32,656.
