This position will provide comprehensive high-level programmatic and administrative support to a new research initiative launching at Cornell Tech focused on the intersection of healthcare and technology. Reporting to the Senior Director of Administration and Finance, and working closely with the faculty Initiative Director, this position provides comprehensive program coordination support to the initiative, including facilitation of interactions with people at all levels, as well as the planning of complex meetings, programs, and events, in collaboration with the campus Events Manager. Duties include integrating content for websites and background materials, executing events and meetings, coordinating travel and reports; maintaining the initiative’s master calendar; and monitoring the Initiative’s budget. Position requires initiative, independent decision-making and a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
This position is a one-year appointment to a full-time, benefits eligible position with opportunity for renewal based on funding availability and institutional needs. A part-time appointment is possible based on the interest of the selected candidate.
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in administration and/or program coordination, in a for- or non-profit organization, preferably in research-intensive higher education.
Demonstrated responsibilities supporting project management; sponsored activities policies and procedures; and knowledge and expertise in the use of various proposal and financial systems; excellent organization and communication skills.
Master’s Degree (including MBA or MPA) strongly preferred with five plus years’ experience in related organizations.
