Hudson Guild's Article 31 Mental health Clinic is looking for a dynamic LCSW-R to join our team. Founded in 1948 the program treats approximately 300 children and adults through individual and family therapy at a main clinic and satellite school-based clinics. The Senior Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinic adherence to high-quality standards and regulations, supervising clinical staff and carrying a select caseload. The main clinic is located in the heart of Chelsea and serves a very diverse population that reflects the neighborhood. QUALIFICATIONS: The Clinical Supervisor must have at minimum; a Master’s degree in Social Work with an active New York State LCSW-R license, 3 to 5 years’ experience as a clinical supervisor, 2 years’ experience completing mental health assessments. The Senior Clinical Supervisor must be proficient with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and Standards of Care for a NYS clinic, and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead with an emphasis on providing mental health services with an awareness of, and respect for, diversity, cultural ethnicity, gender, and lifestyle, and incorporate this knowledge into therapeutic practice. 
  • Provide direct supervision for staff members through regularly scheduled supervisory meetings as well as acting as a point of escalation when necessary.
  • Plan and participate in weekly case conferences, high risk meetings, incident meetings, and leadership meetings as well as periodic training for staff.
  • Ensure clinical charts are audit ready by participating as an integral member in compliance efforts including chart reviews and deployment of corrective action plans. 
  • Participate in quality improvement projects from inception to implementation with an emphasis on data-driven results.
  • Oversee emergency on-call phone procedures, which provides twenty-four hour coverage on a rotating basis to current clients. 
  • Coordinate intake processes, including evaluations, writing psychosocial summaries, and determining initial DSM IV diagnosis. 
  • Provide mental health services to a caseload of children, adolescents, and adults in individual and family modalities in the outpatient clinic. 
  • Oversight of the social work intern program including supervision, review process, and serving as liaison with faculty advisors at all schools of social work.
  • Utilizing AWARDS database and other electronic systems for OMH compliant documentation for your caseload as well as supervisory duties. 
  • Establish, foster and maintain relationships with other community agencies, schools, medical facilities, and organizations as deemed appropriate.
  • Participate in community building activities sponsored by the program and agency, and encourage participants to support these activities. 
  • Assume oversight of department operations in events when the Director of Mental Health Services is unavailable or out.
  • Other duties/ responsibilities as assigned.
