Interested in fighting disinformation on social media and stopping climate change?

Climate Nexus and the Climate Disinformation Coalition are seeking a smart and creative campaign manager to help stop the spread of climate change disinformation on social media by holding tech platforms like Facebook and Twitter accountable. This is a 1-year contract position with potential opportunity to renew.

About Us

Climate Nexus and the Climate Disinformation Coalition have created this new one-year contract position, with a potential option to renew, to help lead the fight against climate disinformation. The campaigner will help create and execute a coalition campaign plan that will cover research, corporate campaigns, public outreach, and legislative initiatives. The contractor will be housed within Climate Nexus and report to the coalition co-chairs at Friends of the Earth and Environmental Defense Fund.

Climate Nexus is a nonprofit strategic communications group dedicated to changing the conversation on climate change and clean energy solutions in the United States. It was created to ensure coherent, effective climate communications and to elevate the work of a broad network of partners, including youth groups, environmental justice allies, cities and state leaders, and more.

The Climate Disinformation Coalition brings together environmental and intersectional progressive organizations to reduce the spread of climate disinformation on tech platforms, especially as used by the fossil fuel industry to halt climate action. We work to ensure that facts, data and science are prioritized on the communications channels that help us advocate for the environment, science and public health.
