POSITION OVERVIEW: The Quality Assurance Associate is integral to the successful functioning, execution, and remediation of the complete battery of Mamatoto Village programs and initiatives. Mamatoto Village is committed to delivering high-quality perinatal services, impactful community and national level advocacy, and creating a justice-centered workspace for individuals committed to the common goal of healthy mamas, healthy babies, and healthy communities. 

The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for implementing all quality assurance, quality improvement, and auditing activities for Mamatoto Village (MV) programs, grants, and initiatives under the direction of the Director of Data and Social Impact. The responsibilities include supporting all Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities implemented by all MV departments. The position will monitor the timeliness and accuracy of data entry into the electronic health record (EHR), create regularly scheduled monitoring reports for all teams, and help design and implement Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance and Improvement

  • Supporting all Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities implemented by all MV teams;
  • Administer satisfaction surveys, questionnaires, and interviews with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Data and Social Impact and the data team to share findings from various QI/QA inquiries.

EHR Auditing

  • Review EHR records weekly for accuracy, compliance, and integrity by applying maternal and child health knowledge, medical terminology, and MRHV program best practices;
  • Perform daily review of PHW time records for completeness and accuracy;
  • Prepare weekly case record review reports.

Administrative Support 

  • Create monthly and/or quarterly reports and dashboards for general staff, program leads, and partners;
  • Contribute as needed to the monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and year-end reports. 

Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of this position

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS TO FOSTER SUCCESS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree minimum in one of the following fields: public health, human services, social sciences, or related fields or 3 years of experience AND
  • At least 2-3 years of experience with QI/QA activity development and implementation; data visualization; and reporting
  • Medical Terminology proficiency required
  • High level of skill with MS Office, Google Workspace, iOS. 
  • Experience and/or capacity to learn data analysis software to include SPSS and Tableau, is a must.
  • Strong familiarity with human rights, reproductive justice, and/or maternal and infant health content
  • Must be able to work with sensitive and protected information in a confidential manner.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and experience in reporting writing
  • Ability to organize and maintain complete, accurate records and file reports promptly.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and training.
