An Excellent Opportunity

We are looking for a Training Specialist who can help us onboard, educate, and provide ongoing support to adult volunteers. This specialist oversees the background check process for volunteers, develops curricula, creates online tutorials, provides support to volunteers as it relates to training program and assistance with learning management system, as well as process volunteer recognitions.


Here’s What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage administration of content and reporting for learning management system (LMS)
  • Provide excellent customer service to volunteers and staff, including technical assistance on LMS
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to communicate complex Girl Scout concepts through webinars, articles, web pages and social media
  • Process volunteer information in various databases
  • Manage a diverse volunteer network of 50-100 active volunteer trainers 
  • Support the formal recognitions process for volunteers
  • Prepare organized and structured presentations


Is this you?

  • Background in Facilitation, Training, or Education
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced working with volunteers
  • Superb customer service skills for working with diverse groups of people
  • Great written and oral communication skills, including public presentations
  • Self-motivated and efficient with strong time-management skills
  • Keen sense for technology, especially Microsoft Office and Zoom; familiarity with Salesforce, a plus
  • Experienced with learning management systems (Litmos, desired)
  • Experience in online courses and/or adult education is very helpful
  • Ability to maintain a varied work schedule including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Have access to automobile for occasional travel
  • Passionate about girl leadership; experience in Girl Scouting, a plus
