Under the supervision of the Borough Director, the Engagement Manager (EM) will oversee a team of 2 Outreach Liaisons working in the local community to connect families to Power of Two.
The EM works to build social capital by fostering person-to-person and community-driven relationships and is dedicated to transforming their communities. This position has responsibility for functions including family engagement in Power of Two’s programs, volunteer engagement, community referral partnerships, and general outreach. The position will be responsible for developing the plan to accomplish broader community awareness of and engagement with Power of Two, as well as the execution of those strategies. This position is also responsible for connecting the engaged families to PO2 direct services, particularly our ABC trainings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the creation and execution of an overall plan for community outreach and engagement, including raising awareness about the organization, and the development of engagement and partnership pathways for individuals and organizations that align with our mission and vision
- Facilitate the smooth transition of family recruitment to case assignment
- Daily monitoring of referrals (including quality assurance) and timely assignment to Parent Coaches
- Consistent monitoring of relevant reports to ensure that pending cases are addressed and followed up on in an efficient and timely fashion
- Tracking cases from assignment to Parent Coach until they commence their first session
- Develop and deliver workshops for community residents and partner organizations
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to ensure key successes in Power of Two’s community engagement efforts
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with community residents, local nonprofit organizations, businesses, etc.
- Coordinate and execute key community engagement events, i.e. Women’s Month, family engagement activities, service days, and community volunteer recognition events
- Monitor the success of community engagement strategies and budget, and making course corrections
- Assist in reporting and program monitoring
- Develop a program culture and mindset that is focused on reflective practice, support and continuous learning.
- Provide supportive, adaptive, and feedback-rich management of direct reports

Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Graduate; Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Bilingual, English & Spanish
- Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Prior community organizing, campaign organizing, and/or other forms of constituent building experience (small- and/or large-scale) preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends, in order to meet the needs of community residents and be present at community functions
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Knowledge of community development issues, and experience working in diverse communities including multiple generations (seniors, youth, working adults), as well as across ethnic and racial communities
- Strong command of MS Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and platforms such as Google Suite
- High energy, initiative, and creativity are desired
