We believe in the power of young people! Still, young people benefit from meaningful and steady guidance and support. Our Advisory Instructor leads developmental programs in socioemotional learning, including ideas and issues in Community, Health, Mindfulness, Identity, and Equity.
Each afternoon, students meet with a small-group advisor for Forum, a 50-minute activity, discussion, or program. The Advisory Instructor develops and designs the curriculum for students in Grades 6-8. In addition, the Advisor will lead and manage three small-group advisories.

Workshop Middle School is an innovative middle school for curious and creative students in Prospect Lefferts, Brooklyn.

Ideal candidates help our students and our community work through challenge with care, concern, and support.
• An advanced degree in Social Work or other relevant education or expertise.
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success as a therapist or counselor with children or early adolescents
• Evidence of demonstrated excellence in counseling or therapy
• High-quality organizational and planning skills
• Portfolio of real-world community or advisory projects designed and executed with children or young adults
