Position Overview

NYC Housing Partnership (www.housingpartnership.com), a leading affordable housing nonprofit in New York City is seeking a Deputy Director to oversee staff in the Marketing Department that performs marketing and compliance activities pursuant to the NYC’s HPD and HDC Marketing Guidelines. This is a growth position leading to Director of the Department.

Responsibilities

·        Supervise the Housing Partnership’s affordable rental marketing team that is responsible for identifying eligible renters for income-restricted units that participate in city and state entitlement and subsidy programs including Inclusionary Housing, 421-a and LIHTC.

·        Manage rental marketing process pursuant to the HPD/HDC Marketing Guidelines.

·        Train and develop staff for their current responsibilities and the next position.

·        Work with partners, including city/state housing agencies, developers, managing agents, leasing agents, vendors, to facilitate the timely completion of project lease-up.

·        Review relevant documents including regulatory agreements, administering agent agreements, grant agreements to implement all program and project required responsibilities.

·        Work closely with chief operating officer, vice president and other staff to ensure department success.

·        Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·        Experience with HPD/HDC Marketing Guidelines and/or income restricted affordable housing marketing or compliance.

·        Highly organized, detailed and process oriented.

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

·        Excellent written, verbal, communication and collaboration skills.

·        Self-starting, quick learning, resourceful, adaptable, strong problem-solving skills.

·        Facilitate staff training and career development efforts

·        Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word.

·        Passionate about the need for affordable housing.

·        Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required.

·        Bi-lingual a plus (but not necessary).


Based in New York City. No frequent travel required. The position reports to Vice President. This is a salaried position that includes a matching 401K plan, paid PTO and major medical. Immediate start.
