Young People in Recovery –

Bringing Communities of Recovery – Project Director

(My Recovery is EPIC and YPR Chapters)

Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo

Organization and Program Overview:

Young People in Recovery (YPR) envisions a world where everyone can access the necessary resources to recover from substance use disorder.

YPR’s mission is to provide the training and networks all individuals, families, and communities need to recover and maximize their full potential.

Visit the YPR website at for additional information.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) has provided funding for YPR to implement, expand, and enhance peer recovery support service programs in 4 Ohio cities (Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, and Cincinnati) for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. These programs include My Recovery is EPIC (EPIC), an 8-module life-skills curriculum used in treatment centers, and YPR chapters.

EPIC is offered exclusively by Young People in Recovery to equip participants with tools to access housing, education, employment, purpose, and community; four areas SAMHSA identifies as critical to a successful life in recovery. YPR and our partners have found that individuals who are more actively engaged in their life-planning are also more successful in their treatment and recovery process and become more informed decision-makers.
