 Position: The Director of Global Programs is charged with developing, managing, and executing programming for IWF. Working directly with senior leadership, you will develop unique curated content for digital sessions and in-person events to include IWF’s major annual conferences, the World Leadership Conference and the Cornerstone Conference. Reporting to the IWF Chief Operating Officer, this position will be responsible for collaborating across teams to generate cross-cultural programming that is timely, mission-driven and of interest to the global membership of IWF and its network of partners. Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop manage and execute unique programming for IWF’s global audience of senior women leaders including sessions for in-person events along with monthly virtual programming.
  • Lead all speaker-related activities to include research, procurement, communication and on-site coordination.
  • Manage IWF’s growing programmatic presence in the gender equity thought-leadership space.
  • Facilitate  and contribute to content brainstorming sessions with IWF leadership and consultants.
  • Oversee and manage IWF’s Leadership Awards programming including the International Hall of Fame, Women Who Make a Difference and IDEAS Remaking the World.
  • Draft relevant program materials including invitations, session descriptions, programs, and others as necessary.
  • Collaborate across functions including with Development and Communications leads to develop content for IWF partners.
  • Maintain accurate information in Salesforce, IWF’s CRM tool and monitor IWF’s ongoing roster of speaker contacts.
  • Manage Program Coordinator and Program Intern in support of all activities.

Qualifications: The position calls for a highly-organized individual with a strong ongoing interest in global affairs, business,  culture, and gender equity issues,. The Director of Global Programs should be a self-starter who has excellent project management and relationship building skills. Along with a commitment to IWF’s mission, they are expected to possess the following professional qualifications and personal attributes: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in program and/or project management.
  • Ongoing curiosity and interest in international relations, current affairs and gender issues,.
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills including experience in writing invitation letters, session descriptions, programmatic overviews. 
  • Experience in working for/with high-level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems resourcefully, work independently and switch tasks efficiently.  
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Sensitivity and respect for the diversity of IWF, its membership, and constituencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with staffing  large-scale conferences and events.
  • Experience in delivering unique global programming.
  • Foreign language skills.
