The Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues (IATF) is seeking an experienced professional with a passion for deepening American Jewish awareness of Israel’s Arab citizens, internal Jewish-Arab relations, and related social and economic issues and trends. The position combines development of educational programs and production of educational resources and publications. As the Program Manager you will work closely with New York-based executive staff and Israel-based content-experts to significantly advance the direction and functioning of the organization. Some travel possible.


What will you do as Program Manager, Member Resources and Engagement? 

  • Develop Task Force educational and training programs (online and in person) including outreach and engagement of program partners, content development and framing, and speaker development and preparation
  • Accompany Task Force speakers and tours in North American Jewish communities when regular travel resumes
  • Participate in production of Task Force publications, including writing and editing of briefing reports, fact sheets, website posts and newsletters for distribution to members 
  • Represent the Task Force at educational events and conferences 
  • Work closely with team to develop additional educational resources and communications as needed. 

 

What qualifications does this job require?

  • Prior experience in program development and implementation required
  • Group facilitation experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, writing and editing capacities, with a developed ear for nuance, discourse and branding
  • Knowledge of issues concerning Israel’s Arab citizens and Jewish-Arab relations audiences 
  • Familiarity with the workings and interests of American Jewish organizations (federations, foundations, advocacy organizations, religious movements, Israel educators, etc.) 
  • BA and/or higher in relevant field of study (Middle Eastern Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Jewish Studies, Communications, etc.) strongly preferred 
  • Some Hebrew language skills preferred; fluency a plus 
  • Strong computer skills including CMS and Microsoft Word

  • Reports to: Liron Shoham, Executive Director 
  • Job Function/Department: Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues 
  • Expected/Preferred start date: Mid-August 2020 or as soon as possible

This a full time, salaried position paid semi-monthly. This role is exempt per the FLSA.
