The non-profit Ventana Wilderness Alliance (an equal opportunity employer) is seeking an Office Manager.
The ideal candidate:
Neat, highly organized individual who takes pride in their work (even the small stuff!)
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Outgoing, people-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible and able to assist with occasional weekend events (typically 3-4 per year)
Passionate about wildlands, wildlife, and conservation
Attention to detail, especially in terms of spelling, grammar, and syntax
Familiarity with Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook, Google Calendar, Facebook, and Instagram is essential.
QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred.
Experience using Meetup, Eventbrite, Joomla/HTML, and Constant Contact is helpful but not essential.
Familiarity with the VWA's mission, programs, public lands, and the landscape we protect is strongly preferred.
SalesForce experience is a big plus.
Handling emails, phone calls, and voice mail
Forwarding emails and phone calls as needed
Greeting (occasional) visitors
Interfacing with volunteers
Updating Google Calendars
Maintaining office supply inventory
Managing swag inventory: brochures, stickers, etc.
Assisting with basic office upkeep as needed
Entering and paying bills
Printing checks, securing signatures
Managing credit card receipts
Making bank deposits
Managing petty cash
Managing (QuickBooks) payroll
Monthly account reconciliation
Membership and Fulfillment
Processing check and PayPal donations
Processing grant awards
Depositing donation batches
Completing membership fulfillment
Ordering t-shirts / other membership swag
Generating membership / donation reports
Organizing outreach materials
Periodically updating outreach displays
Assisting with event logistics and execution
Assisting with photo-documentation of events
Responding to social media / web-based inquiries
Monitoring specific URLs, alerting staff to concerns
Assisting with event postings and calls to action
Social media and newsletter content generation
Assisting with website updates
