Description

Development Associate

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual for its development team to assist with a range of activities related to fundraising, record management and general development work. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Development Associate is responsible for processing all gifts and maintaining the fundraising database, including running reports, queries, and data analyses to benchmark fundraising efforts. He/she coordinates all communications materials/emails to the Foundation’s donors and other constituents with support from the Development team.


The Development Associate will:

·        Manage donor database and infrastructure. This includes overseeing donations, gift and donor entry, acknowledgements, query and report building, analyzing campaigns, and assessing and tracking donor trends and analytics.

·        Oversee and execute the logistics of a fundraising campaigns including year-end campaign with including board, staff participation

·        Support the MD and ED in Board driven Development activity

·        Support and execute campaigns of smaller appeals and stewardship outreach throughout the year

·        Maintain the donate pages on the SAG-AFTRA Foundation website, and create new donation portals for various initiatives as needed

·        Oversee social media content as it relates to Development and fundraising

·        Create and send emails through SAG-AFTRA Foundation email marketing software as it relates to development and fundraising

·        Maintain and support the Foundations presence on third party fundraising platforms including Charity Navigator and Guidestar, Network for Good etc.

·        Oversee State registrations & renewals

·        And other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree

·        1- 2 years of professional development/fundraising or relevant experience required

·        Proficiency with fundraising databases, Giftworks experience a plus

·        Knowledge of individual fundraising principles and practices

·        Able to maintain extraordinary focus and attention to detail

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Strong planning and organizational skills

·        Self-starter with an ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities

·        Excellent judgment and sound decision-making capacity

·        Ability to prioritize work assignments

·        Ability to gather and synthesize data

·        Open to trying new approaches to old problems

·        Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity

·        Willingness and ability to work as a “team player” within the specific department and wider organization
