Pathways of the River Valley is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the agency's fiscal matters. As an integral member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will have primary responsibility for managing all financial related activities and personnel of the Agency. This includes planning, organization, development and modernization of all financial operations. Direct responsibilities include: accounting, finance, budget forecasting and finalization, analysis of contracts, audit compliance and activities in accordance with current applicable, federal and state guidelines as well as oversight of IT systems. Leads a staff of five.
Pathways is a non-profit agency serving over 600 individuals and families in Sullivan and Grafton Counties of New Hampshire with a staff of just under 200 employees and a $20 million annual budget. The CFO interacts with staff, leadership, board of directors, and state liaisons. A strong track record of providing leadership, financial analysis, contract management, fundraising and application of varied disciplines needed to manage complex programs is essential.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or other related field with 7 to 10 years of related experience including financial oversight and fiscal management is required; MBA a definite plus. Successful candidate will have demonstrated success in the role of a senior financial leader with a comparable sized organization and experience with Board engagement and/or health care setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical or human services billing systems (Medicaid, Social Security benefits) a definite plus. Leadership ability, especially related to program design and implementation demonstrating financial acumen is key as well as strong analytical skills and experience translating a strategic vision into an operational model Candidates must be skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve objectives as well as demonstrated critical thinking skills to identify alternative solutions. Proficient use of MSOffice products including Excel and Outlook as well as knowledge of accounting systems is necessary.
All candidates must have a valid driver’s license, proof of valid personal auto insurance and access to reliable to transportation in addition to successfully completing criminal, MVR, BEAS and OIG checks. Candidate must pass TB Test or provide documentation of a satisfactory TB Test taken in the last six months per state regulations.
