Per Scholas is expanding and has contracted with a large US-based technology services company to train local talent for in-demand technology roles. We are a small, multi-disciplinary team seeking individuals who can ensure the success of this new initiative.  We are thrilled to be launching our first training program in Pittsburgh and are seeking talented, passionate, and entrepreneurial professionals to join our team.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Per Scholas seeks a Senior Manager, Career Solutions, to ensure our students are successful in competitive technology positions in the workplace after graduation from our courses. You will coordinate with local and national teams to design and implement career development curriculum, deliver components of the career development curriculum in coordination with course instructors, and advise students on career opportunities to ensure successful placement in relevant jobs in the technology sector. You will also collaborate with our primary corporate partner and develop new relationships with corporations in the market to create a hiring pipeline for graduates. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Open Doors to Employment

  • Introduce the Per Scholas brand into the local marketplace, building trusting and collaborative relationships among all stakeholders within the local business and technology communities. 
  • Cultivate a strong network of local employers to support the placement of students and establish a voice in the local technology community
  • Connect graduates and alumni with the resources necessary to maintain employment and advance in their careers
  • Conduct market research and provide analysis of emerging needs and trends within the marketplace to evaluate the potential for expanding the training that Per Scholas offers to employers and prospective students. 

Prepare Students for Interviews

  • Manage interview and placement processes with corporate partner HR and recruiting teams
  • Identify student needs, provide necessary resources, establish individualized plans for student achievement
  • Recommend students for particular employment opportunities and provide coaching and feedback as needed

Deliver Curriculum

  • Deliver career development instruction to students one day per week 
  • Support on-site admissions and onboarding of new students in collaboration with National Recruiting and Admissions teams

Data and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate student outcome data and reporting using Salesforce and other record-keeping platforms

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) required
  • At least 5 years related professional experience, preferably in recruiting, career placement, and/or workforce development
  • Experience building and leveraging external relationships with employers in the Pittsburgh market
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and/or learning management systems
  • Experience delivering instruction in a classroom/training setting preferred
