Clinical Supervisor

University Settlement partners with New Yorkers on the Lower East Side and in Brooklyn to build community strength. The Clinical Supervisor provides in-service training and leads clinical case conferences in collaboration with clinic leaders at the Consultation Center. In this role, you will conduct pre-admission screenings and supervise the intake process to ensure that the Intake Log is updated. You will also be involved with facilitating intra/inter-agency referrals and advocate for patients with other community-based organizations and/or governmental agencies. 

What You Will Be Doing: 

• Provide individual, group and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging from age zero through late adulthood
• Provide individual and group supervision to clinicians as assigned by the Director
• Coordinate with staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual, complex case management plans
• Maintain reports and administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards, ensuring compliance with requirements and program policies
• Obtain and monitor managed care authorizations
• Participate in staff meetings and other required training and meetings. 
• Demonstrate the ability to engage new and resistive mental health clients
• Maintain working knowledge of mental health program standards and theory and incorporate into clinical practice
• Maintain knowledge of community resources 

What We Are Looking For: 

• Advanced degree in social work (MSW), LMSW, and NPI number required
• You have experience with time limited treatment approaches in children and adults
• 5+ years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, including effective decision-making and problem-solving experience 
• You thrive in a busy environment and able to shift gears when needed.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
