Development Associate
Flip the West
Flip the West is seeking a Development Associate with a strong dedication to our mission, which is to retain and expand the Democratic majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. This could be a full or part time position.
Flip the West is an independent political action committee, focused on mobilizing grassroots volunteers to contact voters. Our volunteers write postcards, make calls, send texts, use Instagram, and knock on doors to win Congressional (House and Senate) races around the country.
We support Democratic candidates, and oppose Republicans. (www.flipthewest.com).
In the 2020 election cycle we played a major role in 8 US Senate races, and helped win 4 of them. In the 2018 election cycle (as Flip the 14) we focused on California’s 14 Republican-held House seats and helped flip 7 of them.
We work with more than 100 organized volunteer political action groups (our Flip Force) such as chapters of Indivisible, and also more than 40,000 individual volunteers around the country. These volunteers made over 13 million voter contacts in the 2020 general election cycle, including the Georgia runoffs.
Our fundraising is mainly from our volunteers and individual donors, although we held on-line fundraising events last year with Congress Members Adam Schiff, Katy Porter and Ted Lieu; California Lt. Gov Eleni Kounalakis, Frances McDormand and Joel Coen, and other celebrities. We organized a volunteer training webinar featuring House Speaker Pelosi and other Democratic luminaries.
We are open to junior or more experienced professionals, with salary DOE.
