ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY

The Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation is headquartered in New York City and funds primarily the research of Nobel Laureate Dr. Paul Greengard and his team of internationally renowned scientists at the Fisher Center lab at Rockefeller University, plus other leading research institutions around the world. For 20 years, we have been raising the awareness of the need for private funding and supporting seminal research that has provided the conceptual framework for modern day investigations into Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Greengard and his team have recently developed new technologies that will accelerate the pace of future Alzheimer’s research. Based on these findings, we have increased our funding commitment to support promising new initiatives and expanded our educational outreach efforts to increase awareness about Alzheimer’s.

The Foundation has provided tens of millions in research funding to understand the causes of and to find a cure for this devastating disease. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and their families already suffering from Alzheimer’s and working toward a future when Alzheimer’s is nothing but a memory. The Foundation is committed to exemplary fiscal stewardship and adherence to best organizational standards, and is proud to have earned the highest 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator the last seven consecutive years.

Our Mission: To attack the scourge of Alzheimer’s disease through a 3-pronged assault focused on understanding the causes of Alzheimer’s disease; improving the care of people living with Alzheimer’s to enhance their quality of life; and finding a cure for this devastating disease.
