EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ROLE DESCRIPTION

Herizon Music Foundation is offering an executive director position. This is a prime opportunity to shape the direction of an up-and-coming nonprofit with aspirations to be a national force for women in the music industry.

Compensation starts at $35,000 annually and increases as milestones are achieved.  

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Responsible for planning, execution, tracking, and achieving objectives in the following areas:

  • Resource development (P2P, corporate, program sponsorships, auctions, grant writing, event planning, donor outreach & stewardship, etc.)
  • Marketing and PR (social media, web site, press, podcast)
  • CRM management using Better Unite
  • Legal (filing registrations, licenses, federal/state/industry compliance)
  • Finance (budgeting, work with CFO, CPA and bookkeepers)
  • Volunteer/internship program (recruiting, management, rewarding)
  • Scholarship Program (partnership relations and commitments)
  • Random Acts of Music (recruiting virtual hosts, maintaining artist database)
  • Collaborate with podcast host Thea Wood on marketing and guest relations
  • BOD quarterly reports
  • Other projects that arise as decided by the team  

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • People person with a positive attitude who loves going for the win and hitting goals!  
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience establishing/managing CRM platforms, online fundraising platforms, and social media platforms; scaling systems for growth
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities, written and oral
  • At least two years of leadership and fundraising experience, including event planning (online and in person) and grant writing
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit fundraising guidelines and laws 
  • Quick thinker and ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Music lover who enjoys empowering women!
