We are seeking a passionate mental health professional to fulfill the role of Clinical Manager, who will provide clinical and supervisory oversight to a multi-disciplinary team at our Second Spring South location in Williamstown. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; a demonstrated understanding of ethical and legal issues in mental health practice; and a commitment to promoting a resident-centered, collaborative approach to care operating within a person-first philosophy.

Our Second Spring South residential care site provide therapy, psychiatry, primary care, case management, nursing, creative arts therapies, community integration, and residential services. Based primarily in Williamstown, VT, our Clinical Manager will report to the Program Director and will frequently collaborate with the Clinical Director, other Clinical Managers, and other organizational leaders. They will supervise staff to ensure legal and organizational compliance, while also contributing leadership in the development of a healthy, diverse, and collaborative organizational culture.

This position is full-time, exempt with a schedule of alternating between 4-day weekend and 2-day weekend each week.

Responsibilities:

  • Individual and group supervision of Recovery Support Specialist team (clinical supervision, including counseling/support, professional development, overall workplace guidance)
  • Admissions (including determination of client eligibility and fit within our programs along with a multi-disciplinary admissions team, client interviews, and documentation)
  • Assessments (biopsychosocial as part of welcoming new residents, other assessments as needed per individual circumstances)
  • Individual, group, and family therapy for residents as needed (complementing the work of the multi-disciplinary clinical team)
  • Facilitate staff trainings by participating in opportunities for professional development and disseminating information to the broader team
  • Med delegation
  • Responsible for the ownership of a ‘passion project’, for example immigration, aging, or LGBTQ inclusivity, to further enhance workplace culture
  • Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, direct care staff, therapists, and other professionals in the interest of client advocacy and empowerment

Qualifications

o Master’s degree and licensure or license-eligible in social work or related field

o Commitment to diversity and inclusion, healthcare equity, and social justice, especially as pertinent to individuals facing issues involving mental health and substance use

o Minimum of 3 years working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness / co-occurring disorders / substance use

o Minimum of 3 years in leadership position or providing supervision to staff and/or interns
