Seeking a detail-oriented camp professional who loves building relationships—for an overnight camp with a unique 1:1 staff to camper ratio. Camp Starfish is a dynamic, forward-thinking, independent 501(c)3 non-profit which provides summer and year-round programs to children and teens with significant emotional, behavioral, learning and social challenges. In our camp community and organizational culture, we place high value on communication, integrity, solid work ethic, humor, and collaboration. We are guided by our mission to foster the success and growth of our campers by providing individualized attention as part of structured, nurturing and fun group programs. Camp Starfish was founded in 1998, became operational in the summer of 2000, purchased its permanent home in Rindge, NH in 2008, and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019.
Qualifications include a passion for working with people- parents and guardians, staff, campers, agencies, vendors, and town officials- and the ability to supervise seasonal staff assistants. This director serves as key point of contact for families, with compassion, timeliness, and careful attention to detail. Fluency with/willingness to learn Camp Minder and QuickBooks required to manage camper registration, financial aid, rentals, donor data, and fundraising support. This position reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with a dynamic four-person director team.
Location: mid-May-August at camp office in Rindge, New Hampshire, and Sept.-May at offices in Stow, Massachusetts(option for partially remote during off season). Candidates considered on rolling basis for March 15th start. Full time competitive salary, generous vacation and benefits.
