The Patient Accounts Representative ensures an efficient and accurate registration process, including, but not limited to, accurately collecting and inputting patient demographic information into the eClinicalWorks practice management and electronic health records system. Provides excellent customer service assistance via phone and in person to patients and clients of CHCR. Discusses and educates family members on various services offered by the Community Health Center of Richmond and methods of payment for those services, including but not limited to, private insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, and sliding fee discounts. Responsible for providing information and enrollment assistance for the Medicaid/Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and/or health insurance coverage through the New York State of Health, The Official Health Plan Marketplace as appropriate.

Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Basic knowledge of computers/typing, insurance, and cashiering and billing principles. 1-2 years of medical office and cashier experience or customer relations field. Knowledge of eClinicalWorks or applicable electronic health records software. Basic knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurances, and reimbursement. Excellent customer service and etiquette skills. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and procedures. Experience with dental billing desirable. Bilingual helpful.
