Girls Who Code is an international non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology. Through our free Clubs Program and Summer Immersion Program, we are leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the skills to pursue careers in technology fields. Girls Who Code is searching for dynamic, results-oriented Regional Partnership Coordinators to execute recruitment strategies to build partnerships with local community based organizations and leverage partnerships to recruit community partners to host our Clubs Programs and recruit students for our Summer Immersion Programs. The ideal candidate has experience cultivating, building and maintaining school and community partner relationships, delivering high-quality programming, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They bring experience working with educational programs and a passion for educating students at scale.


This is a part-time, hourly position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Secure, manage, and cultivate partnerships with local community based organizations to support the expansion of our Clubs program nationwide and recruit students for our Summer Immersion Program in select cities
  • Work closely with a Manager of Community Partnerships & Outreach to ensure that the outreach strategy being implemented is effective and meeting outreach targets
  • Submit weekly status updates and meet monthly application targets
  • Meet weekly with Managers for 1:1 check-ins and weekly team meetings
  • Represent Girls Who Code at targeted meetings, community events and conferences to increase brand recognition and increase applications to our Clubs and Summer Immersion Program
  • Host information sessions and applications workshops to support families with completing applications for our Summer Immersion Program in select cities
  • Convert interested applicants to completing the Summer Immersion Program application through phone banking and additional individualized follow up in select cities
  • Travel to areas within assigned regions as necessary for community partner cultivation and management


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for our mission to close the gender gap in technology fields through a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2 years prior experience managing school and/or community relationships
  • Successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, and executing quickly and effectively
  • Data driven: the ability to track outcomes through set goals 
  • Excellent communication, presentation and people skills with an ability to balance priorities, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently and being a part of a remote, distributed team
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (~50%)
  • Comfortable working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals
  • Proactive and self-motivated; you follow-through with projects from start to finish
  • Detail-oriented, with superb organizational skills
  • Must be highly knowledgeable of the community in and surrounding the specific region
  • Experience with Google Suite and Salesforce preferred
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in computer science, technology, and/or education preferred
