If so, Alameda County Community Food Bank could be looking for you as our Temporary Volunteer Logistics Coordinator.
As a member of the Volunteer Program staff and the Development Division, the Temporary Volunteer Logistics Coordinator works to provide a meaningful experience to large numbers of volunteers and broaden community engagement opportunities. Reporting to the volunteer manager, this person works in close cooperation with the Production and Sorting Manager to direct food sorting and packing efforts by volunteers at the Food Bank. This is a temporary (likely three month) position covering an employee leave.

This position is in an open warehouse environment and requires working for a full shift while exposed to seasonal weather temperatures. Mobility to respond to moving vehicles, equipment, loud noises and moving vehicles. Ability to participate/assist in physical tasks and/or activities which include: bending, reaching, lifting and moving pallets weighing in excess of 50lbs.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position working Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (7.5 hour work day, 1 hour unpaid lunch). The non-negotiable hourly wage is $24.23 per hour. Temporary employees are not eligible for paid holidays or vacation time, but are eligible to participate in some of our other benefit programs beginning the first of the month after 30 days of employment, including:
