Title: Jr Applications Analyst 

Department: Information Technology

Location: Washington, DC

Reports To: Associate Director, Applications  

Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt 


Please Note: This position requires 2-3 days per week in the office. All US employees of Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including remote staff. How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation? 

Jr Applications Analyst is responsible to provide support and administration for assigned applications deployed throughout IT. They will collaborate with EGPAF users to provide positive and timely support to application users. Write project documentation and technical operations guidelines for applications. They will be responsible for assisting with various responsibilities, which can be outlined in these primary functions: Systems Administration and Support, Data Quality and Reporting, and General Support.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role? 


Systems Administration and Support

·      Administer and support assigned IT applications and ensure they are updated, structured and maintained so as to meet Foundation needs. Systems include but are not limited to: Chrome River, QuickBooks, Replicon, OneDrive and Zoom

·      Create and provide training to foundation staff on assigned applications

·      Partner with system owners to institutionalize best practices in the use of assigned systems

·      In coordination with current Applications Analyst support the weekly import of Replicon data into BI360

·      Act as a backup for current Application’s Analyst to support the Foundation’s intranet and policy management system.

Data Quality and Reporting

·      Standard and ad hoc report creation and maintenance for Chrome River, QuickBooks, Replicon, and Zoom

·      Contribute to continuous improvement of individual reports and the overall reporting infrastructure.

·      Develop reports using PowerBI, SSRS and other reporting tools

·      Troubleshoot and resolve data related reporting issues reported by users.

·      Author and maintain technical specifications for new and modified reports.

·      Ensure consistent data by working with system owners to identify and correct inconsistencies.

·      Maintain schedule of data transfers via FTP for BI360 – troubleshoot issues as required.


General Support

·      Provide day-to-day help to staff on application use issues

·      In coordination with Associate Network Engineer and Senior Director of IT, manage vendor invoicing for the department

·      Research and analyze emerging technology to determine their suitability within the IT ecosystem

·      Create and maintain documentation of assigned systems, tasks, and procedures

·      Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of staff.

·      Provide strong written and verbal communication to domestic and international colleagues.

·      Acquire and develop professional skills that benefit the Foundation and the individual.

 

To be successful, you will have: 

·      2-3 years of experience in the following:

·      Statistics, financial analysis, or related disciplines

·      Systems analysis and relational databases.

·      Creating Power BI and/or SSRS reports

·      Experience with Microsoft Excel including VBA

·      Experience with an ERP application

·      Fluency in a Microsoft Windows computer environment, including MS Office.

·      Excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational, analytic and problem-solving skills with a customer-service attitude.

·      Ability to translate complicated technical materials for a variety of audiences.

·      Ability to understand the requirements of the end users and build automated and ad-hoc reports/tools based on their needs.

·      

 

Bonus points if you have:  

·      Experience with SQL, Unit 4 ERP, programming languages such as Java, C#, .Net, CSS, HTML, and/or Azure Cloud
