    Urban Arts is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underrepresented students that uses the art and technology of digital game design to teach storytelling, animation, music, computer science, and coding.  With over 30 years of experience, Urban Arts operates nationally, inspiring creativity, fostering STEM skills, and ensuring college access for thousands of students.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Development Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting our fundraising efforts, managing donor relations, optimizing our operational processes, and supporting the planning and execution of special events. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Salesforce administration and experience in event planning to streamline our development operations and maximize our impact.

    • Manage and optimize Urban Arts' Salesforce database, including customization, data entry, reporting, and maintaining data integrity.
    • Support fundraising initiatives by creating and executing campaigns, managing donor communications, and tracking donations.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance donor stewardship and retention.
    • Support and assist in the coordination of fundraising events and campaigns, including logistics, vendor management, attendee engagement, and post-event analysis.
    • Collaborate with the development team to identify new funding opportunities and cultivate donor relationships.
    • Generate reports and analytics to track fundraising progress, donor engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
    • Coordinate direct response (email, direct mail) programs and development-related marketing as needed to generate brand awareness and annual fund level giving.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in development operations and fundraising technology.
    • Assist and support to expand the pool of prospective donors and prospects. Conduct research and analysis and clearly articulate relevant information and recommendations by way of bios or comprehensive research profiles and reports to fundraisers and CEO.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • 3 - 5 years’ work experience in development operations, relationship management or fundraising role.
    • Proven experience in Salesforce administration, including customization, reporting, and data management. Salesforce certification preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in planning and executing fundraising events, with strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with donors, volunteers, and team members.
    • Superb organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Highly self-motivated, accountable, and able to make decisions independently. 
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; ability to adapt accordingly to unanticipated changes. 
    • Passion for Urban Arts' mission and a desire to contribute to the empowerment of underrepresented students through arts and education.
