The Advancement Department consists of several teams that are critical to fulfilling the Success Academy mission. This department leads the effort in securing and retaining critical philanthropic support, building and retaining our community of supporters, and creating segmented communications and engagement opportunities and events for donors and prospective donors.

We are searching for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Advancement Intern to join our team. This individual will have the unique experience to observe and play an integral role at a highly ambitious and successful education-focused organization. Interns will receive ongoing training and mentorship through their program. You will report to a direct manager who will guide your work, help identify project goals, and support your professional development. Based on your skills and interests, you will work for a variety of team members on a broad range of projects pertaining to the diverse aspects of fundraising.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry research
  • Maintain our database of current, past, and potential donors
  • Provide support with school and network events
  • Assist team members with office administrative functions
  • Support with a wide range of development-related projects

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a two or four year university
  • High level of professionalism and organization
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities
  • Eagerness to learn and unafraid to ask questions 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

This is a paid opportunity from September 2021-December 2021, with a commitment of at least 12 weeks. A minimum of 16 hours a week in increments of full (8 hours) or half days (4 hours) is required.

This position will be located at the organization’s Central Network Office (not in a SACS school).
