Salary range starts at $82,000 and is commensurate with experience.

The Center for Court Innovation is a non-profit organization that works to create a more effective and humane justice system by performing original research and helping launch reforms by guiding justice innovators, nationally and internationally. The Center creates operating projects that have been documented to reduce the use of jail and prison, assist victims of crime, and strengthen communities.

The Technology Support and Strategy Department is seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to support our case management system. Reporting to the Information Architect, the Junior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for supporting and developing the Salesforce system. This role would also involve collaborating with the senior project manager, analyzing requirements, developing solutions by creating process builders, flows or custom code, and supporting the application and troubleshooting application errors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the senior project manager to understand and analyze the business requirements;
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce team in an effort to plan and implement roll out of changes in the Salesforce system;
  • Support with troubleshooting issues, replicating bugs and fixing them.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formulas, workflows, validation rules, visual flows, process builders, reports and dashboards.
  • Develop customized solutions using coding and other development techniques(Apex, Visualforce, REST API, SOQL) on Salesforce applications, when needed;
  • Support the Salesforce team with data prep (for cleanup or testing), and configure third-party apps and integrations;
  • Stay up-to-date on new releases and features;
  • Work proactively with the Salesforce team to find defects and security issues related to the application;
  • Adhere to best practices in implementing solutions while continuing to improve the quality and productivity of our practices;
  • Support the Data Analytics and Applied Research team with thinking through the best solutions of capturing information and data reporting;
  • Other relevant duties as necessary.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. At least three years’ experience as a Salesforce administrator and one years’ experience as a Salesforce developer required. Experience working in Apex, VisualForce, and SOQL. Working knowledge of IDE, knowledge of Jira is preferred.
